WE USE THE FOLLOWING STRATEGIES IN OUR REMEDIATION PROCESS.

REMOVAL

Perfect House will remove (as far as possible) mold-damaged or affected porous materials, such a carpet, plywood, water boards, wood composition flooring, drywall, insulation, or wall covering, etc.

FUMIGATE

After removing damaged materials, the next step is to fumigate or destroy mold spores and colonies in the air and exposed surfaces in the walls, ceilings and floors. We prefer ultra violet Ozone generators to fumigate your home. We are trained and have special equipment to raise ozone concentration to an effective magnitude to destroy molds, bacteria and dust mites. We then reduce the ozone concentration back to safe levels without harm to you or your home.

OZONE

Ozone is Mother Nature's perfect purifier.   Produced by lightning (that "fresh smell" after a lightning storm) and other processes, ozone purifies our environment naturally.

WHAT IS OZONE?

Ozone is a pale blue unstable gas that is very active and has a characteristic penetrating odor, readily detectable at concentrations as low as 0.01 to 0.05 ppm.  It is an unstable molecule consisting of three atoms of oxygen whereas a "normal" oxygen molecule has only two atoms of oxygen.  Because the ozone molecule is so unstable, it quickly breaks off its extra oxygen atom.  This lone oxygen atom goes in search of another atom to bond to.  If it finds another oxygen atom it will form a new molecule of normal oxygen.  But if it finds a carbon or sulfur molecule it will break into that molecule destroying it in the process.

Perfect House only uses equipment producing very pure ozone.  The area to be purified is evacuated (including animals and plants), the equipment is deployed and ozone concentrations are brought up to very high levels and maintained there for several hours, depending on the problem to be cured.  When purification is complete, powerful fans are brought in to evacuate all the ozonated air and oxidized chemicals, the house is tested to ensure a safe ozone level (less than 0.05ppm).

CLEANING

Perfect House will thoroughly clean remaining mold-affected areas using a special solution, by brushing, scrubbing, planning, and /or blasting (as necessary) to remove any remaining hidden mold growth and stains.  After cleaning, general wipe downs of all surfaces are performed to remove settled spores that have been trapped, particularly in dust.  Then, in addition the cleaning described above, all surfaces are HEPA vacuumed, which removes much of the remaining spores on surfaces and in crevices.

ENCAPSULATE

After cleaning, areas of previous growth are generally encapsulated or sealed with paint and sprayed with a special solution that helps to prevent future mold growth.

AIR SCRUBBING

During the entire process of remediation, HEPA filtration units are operated to remove air airborne spores.   During the removal process, the machines act as negative air machines-removing the airborne spores released during removal and cleanup.

CLEARANCE TESTING

After the remediation if applicable, we will take air samples to confirm that the remediation project has been satisfactory.   Or you may choose to have another company perform clearance testing.
